Hi, I'm looking for family of my grandfather who died around 1940. His name was William Bennett. He was in the Coast Guard, and his plane was lost somewhere around Alaska sometime in 1939-1940. His plane was never recovered, and he was later presumed dead.
He was married to my grandma, Dorothy, who had a young daughter and was then pregnant with my mother. I have seen some papers and may have a few which state he was born in Hysham, Montana.
As I have very little family left, I would love to find any relatives my gransfather may have.
I went to school in Forsyth, MT which is right next to Hysham. I might have some contacts there... I will see if I can come up with anything. More information would be great (your mom's sister's name... your mom's name, etc, if you have it).
