Trying to find old friend in Houlton MI (picture, friends, lost)

I have been trying to find a friend from NC Marine Base around 1966. A marine that went to Viet Nam in 1967. Just lost touch and is a wonderful person.His name is Wayne G. Pelletier. There was a group of us that had lots of fun from the base. He always talked about Maine, said I should try it. I did go to Bemidji Minnesota, and it was really different after leaving NC. After several years there, still working for the Government, I moved to VA. I do like the weather here much better now.. but I did love the winters in Minnesota..Had lots of fun, loved the out doors and winter sports. Loved to snomobile, those things I miss, but now being older the milder winters are much better in VA..

Well thank you and if you know of how I can get in touch with my friend would love to surprise him.

and maybe make some new friends in Maine.

You said you were trying to find an old friend in Houlton, Maine by the name of Wayne G. Pelletier. I am sorry to tell you that he passed away due to a heart attack four years ago at the age of 57. He is sadly missed. I am sorry for your loss as well.

you may be able to google him....just type his name in and then Maine. Pelletier is a popular name in Northern Maine, and it would be good just to make sure that this is the same man MGM has mentioned. You may also be able to check the Bangor Daily News website....if it is him, they will have his obituary in their archives. Best Wishes.

If this is same person he relocated in Youngstown, Ohio after the service, that is where I met him and he was a wonderful man,at least to me.As I look at his picture on my office desk I think of the kind thoughtful things he did for me, I knew Wayne for five years and then one day he stoped calling and I learned he had passed away, he had no service (I think that is what he had wanted) but I'm sure he touched the hearts of all who knew him

There are 67 Wayne Pelletiers in Maine. Each of the above posts could be correct.
