Looking for my father David Lee Johnson (daughter, sister, old)

Hi all,
My name is Joann Lewis ( Maiden name Johnson) and i'm looking for my father David Lee Johnson. I don't know much about him. I do know he is approximately 64 years old the last i knew in the early 1980's he resided in the state of North Carolina.....
David Johnson was married to my mother Joyce Sumpter maybe in 1970...I don't know to much more my mother passed away in 1984 when i was 13years old. In addition to me they had another daughter Lavette Rachelle Johnson who birthday was 4/1/1972..
I know my David Johnson had a sister name Joann don't know last name

A brother by the name of Tick don't know if that is a nickname or not

I would really like to find my father

is your father currently 64 ? I'm getting strong indication Lavette might be in Winston-Salem. We might have to locate Lavette for more details.

This gives some different relatives for her, if it is her.
If you still have either your parents marriage license or if they were divorced, those papers, his date of birth should be on it. It would really help to have his date of birth. Also, he lived in NC in 1980. Where in NC?
