he dissapeared in 1962-1964 era because the police were going to charge him for crimes he did not commit, he use to pass fraudulent checks, he escaped from work release and there was a thirteen state manhunt for him, but he was never found, my father was only 9yrs old when he left, he would really like to find him before he passes away and i would love to know my grandfather. its been a big missing part of our familys puzzle for along time, we have no hard feelings or grudges, we would just like to know what happend to the grandfather we lost so many years ago??? any help would be deeply and sincerely appreciated

At his age I would check the SS death index. If you don t have his SS# go down to the SS office they will at least tell you if he is alive since you are related.
