I know of another interesting story about tons of credit cards. A woman contacted a small local bank in a small Wyoming town and applied for a credit card. When the bank reviewed her credit they discovered she had over 100 credit cards. When asked about this, she claimed to collect interesting looking credit cards, generally for artwork. This Wyoming bank had a local artist do an amazing painting on their card, and that is why she wanted it.
They of course turned her down... She had access to a ridiculous amount of credit, and if so inclined could flee the country with hundreds of thousands of dollars.
