You'd be surprised how little happier you'd be if you won the lottery.

Me, I'd be surprised if I was 1% happier.

All of the things that cause me (and probably most everyone else) unhappiness or stress or anger or fear have nothing to do with money.

Won't make a bad marriage better.
Won't improve a bad relationship with your kids.
Won't make you thinner (and "I'd just get a personal trainer" won't work).
Won't make that cancer go away.
Won't make you taller.
Won't make you not an alcoholic.
Won't make you younger.
Won't make you faster.
Won't make you feel good about cheating if you already have a good marriage.

If I won, I'd be able to move out of my current condo and away from my criminally insane neighbor who likes to make my life a living hell, so yes...my life would get about 99% better

Everyone at my work pitched in and got 130 tickets. We won a whopping $2. Yippee!

Maybe you could have moved out a while ago had you not spent so much money on lottery tickets.

Sounds like you need some serious help. I would beat anyone would rather be rich than be broke and unhappy with any of those things you listed. If money doesn't make you feel better then next time you get paid wire the money to me.

I didn't buy any. A dollar saved is a dollar earned. I've spent about $15 on lottery tickets in the last year, and the only luck I had was the $3 instant winner I found in the grass just yesterday.

Money does not buy happiness, but it makes finding whatever it is that makes you happy a hell of a lot easier.
