If money were no object, and you could spend the rest of your life doing whatever you pleased, how would you spend you life? Would you just goof off and pamper yourself? Would you work and earn money anyway? Would you use your life to make the world a better place? Would you try to become really good at something, and if so, what?

I would start a tuition-free private school with a non-competetive equestrian focus (no horse shows). It would be for kids who wouldn't otherwise have the opportunity to ride horses and learn horsemanship.

I would also buy back the mule I gave away when we moved and ship her across the country to be here with me.

I would travel around the world and stay in 5 star hotels in all the most interesting places. I'd eat the finest foods and drink the best liquors. Maybe I'd give some money to Wikipedia or other good causes such as birth control for over-populated countries.

The first thing I would do is stop thinking about money.

I'd spend whatever needed to defeat Obama. Then I'd get a million dollar coach and travel the country following the Rockies and Broncos wherever they play.

If money is an object for you, then you are living your life wrong.

It is sad to see people enslaved to money, especially given the fact that you live in the richest country in the world. Unfortunately, people are still living a life of bondage since they cannot properly manage their finances.

Perhaps before you dream big, you should be asking yourself "How do I save"?

It's sad to see people come on a forum with judgement rather than a willingness to join the discussion. It can be a fun question.

There are plenty of "how to save" threads; let this be a dreaming thread.

Oh - and if money is no object to you, perhaps you'd like to invest in a school . . .

Money is no object, I buy a Ford, not because I can't buy a Land Rover but because I want to buy a UAW built car. I live in my house because I want like it here. The fact that I have money doesn't effect the way I wish to live.

I would pay for all high school kids in my area to take driver's education classes. You have to pay for that in my area and many kids can't afford it. And I would not want anyone to know I paid for it.

Do things like that...

I would pour billions into contraceptive research, and cheap synthesizing of Plan B and RU486. I would then set up distribution centers around the country and around the world, free for the taking.
