Are the free credit reports 1 per year from all 3 bureaus? Or are you limited to only 1 per year total?

Thanks.

I believe you may be entitled to a free credit report any time that your credit has been checked by someone.

You can space each one out every four months.

One from each of them annually.... so three per year.
You can set it up so that you get one every four months, as previously stated.

Thanks. Someone told me that you can only get 1 per year total.

Do you guys contact each agency directly? What do you recommend?

You should not answer a question when you don't know the answer. You can get a free credit report from each of the three companies every year. So if you space them out you can get one free report every 4 months, each time from a different company.

Go to this website and request a report from a different company every 4 months. https://www.annualcreditreport.com/index.action

From the FAQ

Should I order all my credit reports at one time or space them out over 12 months?
You are entitled to receive one free credit report every 12 months from each of the nationwide consumer credit reporting companies through the AnnualCreditReport.com request service. You can decide to order all three credit reports at the same time or order one now and others later. The advantage of ordering all three at the same time is that you can compare them. On the other hand, spreading out your requests can help you keep track of any changes or new information that may have been added to one or more of your reports.
