An interesting part of the updated system...about renting out your good score to upgrade another's (craptastic) FICO score - which was happening quite a bit.
Lenders became alarmed about this practice as it seemed to undermine their attempts to contain risk so FICO 08 will eliminate any impact of being an authorized user. This will not only affect the authorized user for a fee but also the college student hoping to build his credit on the foundation of his parents'.
It also affects spouses.... who are authorized users..... but are not responsible for paying back the debt. In other words...your authorized spouse's awesome credit card history just went *POOF*.
