Anyone out there have horses or other large animals? I noticed they were missing from this forum. Here is a pic of me with mine. His name is "Gone Fishin'" I call him Fish for short. Please post if you like or own horses.

I have two geldings.
This is Bandit, right before his second or third ride this year. He is three.

And this is Snip. He is 14 and I don't ride him much anymore. He has "issues".

I dont like horses myself,, I love them! I've never been without them.We just sold 30 little over a year ago and only have 7 left in all with 4 being here and 3 left on dads place. In these parts, theres no money in them now, last three I gave to the direct TV man and even hauled them to him in order to get rid of them.At our sale barn,it cost to sell and the last one I sold there,I paid them money rather than getting a dime for the horse. She was 2 1/2 and kid broke,,very sad the bottom fell out here and feed is still going up.The ones I still have at our place are here to stay though, they are pets and like family to.Though we have saddles, I ride bare back mostly and rarely use a bit either.Horses, you just gotta love 'em.

chele- Banit and Snip are very cute.
What are Snip's "issues?"
My horse has arthritis pretty bad in his front knee, so our riding has limitations, too.

Thanks! Fish has a great face, so kind! Snip has bucking fits, and in the past couple of years he has added rearing. I have had a chiropractor work him over and I may have his problem cured, but I will never trust him to ride him on the ranch again. Now that I am starting Bandit I will use him as my ranch horse and just bomb around on Snip at home!
I used to ride English, and loved it. I'd look a bit odd rounding up cattle in an english saddle though! Do you do any dressage? I've done just enough of that to be hooked! Snip and I do bareback dressage for fun. He seems to really like it. He likes jumping too, but I don't jump high, just about a foot (gee aren't I brave!! *LOL*)

Cute horse!
evey- OMG! What a great looking horse! Mine gets massaged 1x a month, and chiropractor every other month... he has back problems, but this regiment keeps them under control.
