yeah i dont know how many motel/hotel chans would be THAT accomodating, most do have number of animals per room limits.
i asked when i got there if they were ot busy if they coud put me in a room away from other guests (just in case the dogs or macaw acted up, which given neither were used to spending nights away from home and definatly not used to potential traffic pulling up at all hours ect was a definat possibility) and they were more than happy to make that accomodation gien the place wasnt busy...we still had a few barking sessions in the night as cars passed by ect, buti didnt have to worry about them disturbing othr people thanks to the hotel managment being so willing to work with me.
the room wasnt fancy or even "up to date" but i wouldnt hesitate to stay at a motel 6 in the future if traveling with "the crew"
This weekend we got back late, was tired from constant work for the last 21 hours, didn't ewant to drive home so I went to our local crash motel. There was a a sign in the lobby that said that effective August 1, 2012, pets are no longer allowed in the hotel. This was always considered a pet friendly place, so I asked the person why the change. Basically, abuse caused the problems. People abused the pet friendly policy by having more pets than alowed in a room, sneaking pets in even though allowed sio long as disclosed, leaving them for hours on end, and generally not taking the pets allowed policy as a gift but treating it as an entitlement. A few arrogant and selfish folks caused all pet owners to suffer.
So, please do not abuse a place pet friendly policy and respect a places no pet policy. making it a problem for a lodging establishment only increases the chances they will ban pets and may stop one from going pet firendly.
