A chimpanzee is not a pet, and should never be a pet. It's a wild animal kept in captivity.

In CT, a 200 lb "pet" chimpanzee ripped off a woman's hands, nose, lips and eyes----she has had a face transplant, is permanently blind and handless. Her friend owned the chimp, clothed it, slept with it, bathed with it. Talk about creepy.

I had a friend that was an animal handler at MGM in Las Vegas back when they had the lion exhibit. He worked with all sorts of animals including the big cats. The one animal he refused to work with were the chimpanzees. He said they were unpredictable psycho's.
