Kristen DeGroat was just looking for a good Michigan home for her horse Foxy when she placed a classified ad in The Saginaw News: ''3 YEAR OLD Registered Pinto Mare, $200 or best.''

The ad ran Sunday and Monday in The News and The Bay City Times, and she received a lot of calls — many from angry animal lovers. That surprised her — but not as much as the reason why.

I don't know whether to laugh about the error, or get sick over the people wanting to buy horse meat. That's a crazy story.

Wellll I hate to tell you folks this but, in Europe there are several draft breeds that are bred for their meat...Horse meat has always been dined on in other countries....Sorry but true.

Just like in many Asian countries they eat dog.

It's a cultural thaing....in India they would never think of eating a cow, yet most of us dine on them here in the US but we'd never consider eating one of our "pets".

Food for thought...sorry couldn't resist.
