A stallion that never entered a show ring or earned a single championship stands to be the biggest story during the 2008 Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show.
The horse in question, Baske Afire, will be sold at public auction Tuesday by Cedar Ridge Farm in Scottsdale at a price insiders say will exceed $2 million and could hit $5 million.
Horse people use up their superlatives to describe him. They call the 9-year-old breeding stallion perfection, a rare offering, the real thing, or a freak - but in a good way.
