We just picked up our puppy a Miniature Schnauzer on Friday. We named her Lucy. She's so cute and everyone in our family loves her already.
Anyway the first few nights she was a little shy. Now most of the day she just wants to sleep or snuggle up next to me and the kids, or is asleep on the floor somewhere.

I thought that puppies were really hyper. The only time that she gets really excited is when were walking the kids to school. She loves to see and play with all the kids. But when we get home she takes an all day nap. Is my puppy depressed? or Lazy?

Congrats on you new pup! How old is she? Sometimes puppies go through a transition getting use to their new surroundings. I know my lab pup was super quiet at first until he adjusted and his true puppy character came out. I have since added a newfie pup and he gives a new meaning to mellow. You may just be blessed w/ a calm pup.

He's a baby! Play, sleep, sleep, and sleep some more...repeat! As he gets older, you'll wish for some of those quieter moments!

when we first got our puppy...he was very quiet and cuddly. not real interested in playing too much. That lasted about 2 weeks. Then he got hyper....and went to mega popcorn mode....its been 3yrs now and he still exhausts me just watching him bounce all over non-stop. Help me Ceser Malone! We need the Dog Whisperer for our Popcorn Pup! lol
yes, this maybe the calm before the storm.....
or you may be a lucky new puppy parent and have a calm new baby. time will tell
Oh, unless, if hes just got his shots, that can make em a bit down for a day or so...
