I am thinking of moving to N. Carolina but it seems like there are too many groomers and a limited number of pets that require grooming. Also it seems like people there arn't willing to pay a normal grooming price and are more or less looking for bargain grooms.

I know here in SE Idaho we have a shortage of trained and educated groomers.

I agree.

I'm in an area where Petco, Petsmart and many privately owned grooming salons exist.
The larger named salons have a decent client base and their prices are reasonable.
There are even quite a few mobile pet groomers in the area.

Personally, I would not use a bargain groomer.
I had a friend that did and the dog nearly bled to death while they were trimming the dogs nails. They cut too close to the vein.

**A tip in regards to some bargain groomers: Find out if they are reputable or fly-by-nights looking for a quick buck? And if they are trained professionals**

Where exactly in NC are you thinking of relocating? We need groomers (good) in Eastern Carolina.

Different areas charge different prices. So where ever you move to what you charge for the same service in NY maybe way less in your new area.

Default groomer

Are you still looking to relocate? I have an opening for an experienced dog groomer in Tallahassee, Florida (near Georgia line). Well established shop (39 years!) KBW
