Muslims view dogs as unclean, but tiny horse offers freedom to 28-year-old.

DEARBORN, Mich. - Seeing-eye dogs are a nonstarter among many Muslims who consider the animals unclean, but a horse the size of a dog just might work.

125lbs?? my old roommate's French mastiff weighed more than that! I think my ex BF could have carried that horse around easily!

I remember reading somewhere that Salukis was the only breed of dog not considered unclean by some Muslims. not sure if this is 100% correct, but they may be useful for situations like this (not even sure if you could train the average sight hound to do guide dog work)

I read a couple of years ago about someone in NC doing this sort of training with miniature horses. I think it's great! Thanks for posting the story.
