I'm not a groomer anymore, but I groomed for about 2 and 1/2 years.. until I got burned out from a certain company that I worked for last November. I think I couldve groomed for longer, but I really couldnt take grooming, on top of mystery calls, translating, and all the other b.s. that came along with it.

I still groom my own dog, because I dont think I could ever trust anyone else

I work with three groomers at our boarding kennel and things aren't slow. In fact, they are usually booked out by anywhere from four to six weeks.

I'm a groomer!

It's always slower around back-to-school season. Coupled with the 2nd installment of property taxes that are usually due around this time, it makes for a timely rest before the holiday rush comes.

Well I was a groomer for over 20 years...off on a new career track right now. This always used to be a busy time....slow time was 2 weeks before school started. How is your Christmas bookings looking?

I was asked today by the one groomer to see if we can get the appointment book for 2008 as folks are wanting to pre-book for the year

I wish it was slower!
These past 3 months have been the busiest of my 6 years as a groomer! I'm booked solid til the middle of July right now.
So much for a recession, haha.
