I found an awesome place for rent on S Bancroft St but it is in the red on the safety map. Is this area really that sketch? I currently do not live in Philly so I have no clue if it is or not. I am just double checking because that place rocks but if it's in a danger zone then I don't want to live there. I've read a few people putting up slight argument against some of the red areas, is S Bancroft St one of them?

Thanks!

What hundred Bancroft is it? My brother used to live on 2600 Bancroft and that's a pretty nice street, but 2000 Bancroft is probably not so nice.

It's 2 blocks from Broad St. and 3 blocks from Washington Ave. I guess it's the 1400 block..?

1400 is between Dickinson and Reed streets, I spend 7 years living on a 1400 block, I doubt this Bancroft is very nice, but not overly bad. Your main issue will probably be dirty neighbors, so you might be dealing with roaches and mice.
