Good Morning Everyone!

I have relocated back to the area and the plan is to buy a home in the next 6-12 months (Montgomery or Bucks Co -- maybe Chester). In the meantime, apartments galore. The city itself is just too expensive with the occupancy tax and I've found a nice place in both Conshohocken (C) and Voorhees (V) but am unfamiliar with the areas.

- Working in and around Philly.
- No need for public transportation.
- Not married, no pets.
- C is almost $300 more a month.
- Amenities are comparable with C having more hotel like service.
- C can walk to restaurants, etc.
- C has walk/bike bath.
- V bigger place for less money.
- V people seem more friendly vice more status symbol at C.
- V can walk to mall and they are building more over next year.

Looking for input on whether it is worth the extra money to live in C. The feel of the areas, the people, etc.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

It's kind of like varying shades of white...whiter or whitest? Hard choice.

Voorhees, from what I know of it, ain't exactly a happening town. I would choose Conshohocken in a heartbeat - South Jersey is so....South Jersey!

Um it's CONSHY, but I guess I'm the clueless one. Thanks for making my point about Voorhees and South Jersey...

I would say that it's really about your commute (if you have one). Voorhees is pretty suburban, otoh, there's definitely less traffic, people are friendlier and if you're near the new Voorhees Town Center then you're also near PATCO and right around the corner from a great movie theater.

Conshy is nice too. It definitely has it's advantages but aside from a pub or two there's probably not much more that you'd be able to walk to vs. living in the Ashland/Echelon area of Voorhees.

I'm a fan of Vorhees (except for the traffic). It's close to major roads, close to the city, has some great restaurants and shopping nearby, and more suburban feel than Conshy.

If you're planning on getting a house in the western burbs in the near future, go with Conshy. You'll be better located to search for perspective homes and be more versed on the general area.
