Philly to NY 30th Street Parking

With my work discount, I can get an Amtrak ticket from Philly to NY for $15 one way. I plan on going to visit family and wanted to know of the best place to park? From research, people have suggested that I park at one of the airport parking places and then take the septa down to 30th street station. ($14 round trip on Septa and then $20 parking after tax = $34)

I know that is an option which will work. But is there a parking spot near 30th street station? Leaving Friday coming back Sunday night the 1st weekend of August.

Well if you're willing to spend $34, then why not spend $32/day (24 hours) and just park in the 1000+ car AMTRAK parking garage directly underneath the station and take the escalator or elevator directly upstairs to the main hall??

Norristown is $2 I think, certainly better option than the airport. Ardmore is an interesting recomendation. there's also conshohocken (off 476) and villanova (off 476) (since R5 goes to 30th first, it may be just as fast as Norristown-Manayunk line). Trenton is a decent option to look into. and yes, For $34 you may as well park at 30th st station itself.
