$2K/month would probably be higher-end Center City/Main Line rent. $1300 would should get you a nicer 1BR virtually anywhere in the area. You'll find the cost of housing in Philly to be a refreshing change.

thanks, thats good to hear. it sounds like this move (if it happens) will lower my cost of living, while raising income. never a bad thing.

does anyone have a good resource for apartment listings?
