I would like to know how the autism services are in this area. Are programs good? Are the public schools good for children with autism? Any and all info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Sara

I'm not familiar with the SD in Chester Springs, but definitely encourage you to contact the school to find out about services they offer autistic students. In Montgomery County, there would be support from the school, support from the county (Montco Intermediate Unit), and also the ability to have a TSS worker for your child if you wanted one. You would definitely have the ability to have a TSS worker in Chester Springs, its a program throughout PA, but I'm not sure about what happens at the county level in Chester, but ask the school.

Hopefully someone will post with specific knowledge of the schools in Chester Springs.

Good luck getting the information you need. Hope you like the area.

Not sure if you have made a decision, but the Owen J. Roberts School District has one of the best programs for special education. Parts of Chester Springs are within that school district. I encourage you to explore it further.

Good luck!
