I currently live with the parents in Philly but im looking to buy a condo/townhome in the near future. Ideally i would like to live in a town/area away from the city but close enough to Philly/south jersey and is more suburb-like similar to Cherry Hill/Marlton/Voorhese areas in south jersey. Ive lived in philly most of my life and im tired of all the ugliness of the city and traffic, etc. I like the clean suburb lifestyle but since i work in philly I would like to find a town close enough to philly/southjersey.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

What about those towns in South Jersey?

If you want something in PA, perhaps Bensalem? Around the Neshaminy Mall, it felt like South Jersey.

Prospect park, Essington, Ridley etc. in Delco by the airport is flat and feels somewhat similar to SJ.

You've lived in Philly all of your life but don't know of towns near Philly similar to South Jersey? Actually, what does that even mean?

I am guessing that you want to live in the suburbs but near center city. If you live in the Northeast (near Bensalem) aren't you there already? If not - how about South Jersey itself? Cherry Hill is only 20 min from center city.

Ok, Ok. Take any small town in SE PA, add a bunch of middle aged women with big hair and too much makeup and jewelry, and middle age male drivers who think nothing is wrong with pulling off to the side of a busy highway, turning away from traffic, and urinating id broad daylight, and well, you've got the beginnings of south jersey in PA.

If you really want to turn it up a notch, we'll get every driver to relentlessly tailgate at 70 mph, and we'll throw in strip malls to line both sides of every arterial highway from end to end. There's more, but this is a start!
