In reality that's true as I don't want to live in a crime riddled area.

Well it's between the the areas I asked about in this thread or the Hartford, CT burbs and that area is in the running too.

I can't stay here in the Northern NJ area as the cost of living is insanely high and all the rest that go along with living in the Northern-Central NJ/NYC area market.

From what I have read and seen, Philly does not seem to have many safe neighborhoods. They exist but they are small minority in the city.

As for the Chester comparison. The worst parts of Chester are no worse then the worst areas in Philly. However, are their any safe areas in the city of Chester? I don't think so.

I know about Chester not being safe I hear about that place alot, but I was inquiring about any areas/towns in the Montgomery, Chester, and Delaware counties only and not Philadelphia the city or Philadelphia county

I wouldn't be interested in living or working in the City of Philadelphia or County but I would be open to visiting there.

hmmm around the 202 corridor there are trains but going point to point along that route would be difficult(check the rail map) but pretty much everywhere on 202 is nice. Chester county is gonna be more $$ you probably could find something in west chester but taking mass transit would be timely. king of prussia is real nice you could get by on that kinda of money. Bridgeport is more friendly to that budget but livable norristown on the fringes could be right up your alley but norristown itself is a dump. BUT norristown/kop is a big hub for septa. Montco past that is got some good places.

in summation you would have a hard time going wrong anywhere on 202 in pa, the cost of living should be a moderate drop you should also be rewarded with more open space and less traffic. I would say that not having a car will be a pain in the ass though.
