Looking for input concerning the above areas...

We're hoping to buy a newer (<10 years) single family home with at least 3 bedrooms in Quakertown, Pennsburg, Perkasie or Sellersville. We would prefer to live in a development, and hope to be surrounded by young families with lots of kiddos for our children to play with. Our budget is less than $325,000.

Looking for advice concerning areas and school districts...

Does anyone out there have any advice to share regarding our decision?

Thank you!

I'd say the school districts are pretty similar and they are all good school districts. None of them have the reputation of the Central Bucks districts, but they are good nonetheless, so you can cross that item off your list of comparisons.

You should have no problems finding homes in that price range in any of those areas. If you are looking within the boroughs, then it will be more difficult to find homes that are less than 10 years old. There are quite a few developments right outside of the boroughs that meet your needs. So, if being able to walk to things is not important, then you should find plenty of homes in developments. I live in Sellersville borough. I enjoy living in town and being able to walk to things like the theater, the park, places to eat, my barber, my dentist, etc. So, I have a home that is a bit older but very nice and with access to all the town has to offer.

I can be of more assistance if you provide more specifics about what you are looking for in a community.
