I honestly already think of them as this way. I think a lot of others do as well. 30th Street Station is the main rail hub in the city, and the universities are very well connected to downtown. You're literally two minutes away from downtown via the MFL.

You know which ones are the worst are the ones that didn't even grow up in the area and just want to force their visions on other people and block progress. It's understandable if you grow up somewhere to not want it to change or to have to possibly leave but if you moved there and have the disposable income to move around that plenty of people in the area don't have, then you need to remember your damn place and not hold up progress or projects that people actually want.

To be honest, I think those numbers may even be conservative. People who grow up around here take public transportation for granted and plenty of people don't use it. People who move here though are much more likely to take advantage of it. For example, people who grow up in places along the Media/Elwyn line like Clifton Heights or Lansdowne or Aldan near the Giant or any of those places don't really use public transportation or even walk around all that often unless it's a group of kids or something. People in Clifton Heights all drive to Center City for Christ's sakes, even though they can take the train and be there in like 10 minutes and not have to worry about parking. I think by 2030 that will definitely change and the majority of people close to public transportation will use it more than any other mode of transportation, with the proposed improvements or without them.

Well look at the Ridership from 5 years ago and compare it to today , on some lines and systems its grown by 40,000.
