I do not post here as often as I used to since I am now back in college, but I have returned with some EXCITING news!

It looks like Cira II might be back in play!

I'm thrilled about this. It's fantastic that the developers are seemingly weathering the Great Recession fall-out and are, hopefully, going to actually finish this project.

I would like to see some concrete evidence of real tenants taking up large parts of the next building. However that would be the coolest thing ever!!

Brandywine's instagram this morning:

Philly's first elevated Urban Park:

The future is now.

Anyone feel that the divine Lorraine being redone is a pivotal moment in the city's revival?

Divine Lorraine Groundbreaking Ceremony Set for Wednesday - Property

Amazing building. The architecture around that area is fascinating. Jimmy G's is also pretty good. I honestly worry a little bit about over building and after Wednesday's ribbon cutting, I sort of want to see Philly's residential construction slow a bit. Let the projects that have already been announced or broke ground, finish. I mainly mean in north philly and that area though. Keep the skyscrapers coming in other parts of the city.

Huge piece in the puzzle. However, I think Philadelphia really needs to attract big businesses. The residential boom cannot keep growing without more high paying jobs in the core. Enough of luring companies from the burbs or Wilmington, we need to lure companies from New York, Boston, Chicago etc. We are the largest city where the bulk of the largest companies and most white collar jobs are located outside of the city.

On the skyscraper side, I love that Center City is finally breaking out its little core. We now have midrises planned on North Broad St, and highrises in the works as far south as Washington and all across University City.
