Losing Aramark would be a huge blow to the City.
Their lease expires in 2018 at 1101 Market. They also lease space in the Wanamaker Bldg. It's not clear from what I read that it's about needing more space. It might be about consolidating their staffing in one location.

I don't expect Aramark to move out of its current location. It's probably a negotiating tactic to get better lease terms. I imagine the employees would have a fit if it moved somewhere they couldn't take the train, or it made it more inconvenient to get from the station to the office. Where they're out now, the employees don't ever have to step a foot outside into Philadelphia if they don't want to. 2400 Market is close to 30th Street Station... but not THAT close.

They have staff in the Wanamaker Bldg as well. But it's the same thing in that some can walk(or ride) there ,from Jefferson Station, without needing to go outside.

Sorry if I am highlighting a project already posted A Cambria Hotel is being built on the northeast corner of Broad and Locust: Cambria Hotel Rendering Revealed for Broad and Locust - Curbed Philly.

I thought it was going to be apartments. It's great to see that hideous garage coming down.
