I don't know if this has been shared, but another new building coming to N. Broad.
Exciting! That corner has been so empty/dull for years. N. Broad development is really solidifying now!

I'm still thinking about renting out my home and renting in the Divine Lorraine for a little-love those balconies!

I read that those balconies will not be accessible by the tenants

Ehh-really? That's a let down.

I'd live in a highrise but only if there were a balcony or some private outside area.

Another large parking lot finally biting the dust near where I live.

Interestingly enough Parkway recently bought and renovated that lot only to decide to develop it.

Folks who use that lot will be angry(shrugs) because it gets filled with weekday commuters probably to 1500 Spring Garden. It's primarily empty on weekends.
I'm glad there are several projects within that area on the drawing board now, and finally some height!

I can tell you that's it's been longer than 20 years. I'll have to re-look at some of the archival photos phillyhistory.org to see what was there years ago. As I remember it was not all that interesting. So this is a huge change.

I think the Divine Lorraine is leasing. The Mural Arts condo, or whatever it's called, at the NE corner of SG and Broad is open too.

Obviously I'm fine with height. But I'm also thrilled that all of these spots will finally have buildings on them.

SAP to add nearly 400 jobs at Pa. offices

Even though its Delaware County, this needs to keep happening. Higher paying jobs and companies expanding in the region.

Monetate also announced today that it is relocating its headquarters from Conshohocken to NYC, but keeping 60% of its staff in PA.

Which is not a bad thing if you ask me. Since they are keeping the bulk of their employees in Conshohocken, and moving the HQ with some higher ups and marketing/sales employees moving to NYC - a more successful Monetate would mean more employees at their Conshohocken office as well.

In fact, in a few years, I wouldn't be surprised to see Monetate move their Conshohocken offices to a shiny new office building at Schuylkill Yards next to 30th Street Station to have direct access to their NYC headquarters via Amtrak, and direct access to PHL and connections to their London and SF offices.

Great to see the city cutting down on crime, helps to shake our image of that, especially when so many other cities are having major issues.
