I can not vote for someone for DA who was never a prosecutor. Period.

As for the national GOP agenda, we agree. That said, I think the platform of any single candidate, regardless of party, should be taken into account before casting a ballot. And the further down ballot any candidate is, the more relevance this has. For example, I think the GOP candidate for DA is not terribly bound to the national GOP agenda. I intend to take a serious look at her before voting this fall.

View my posts under this light: the only time I recall voting for a Repubkican was a vote for Pete duPont for Delaware governor in the 1970s. I hardly think I can be viewed as a GOP agoolgist.
Fair enough.

Yes we know, you hate Krasner. But pissing off that fat idiot McNesby is icing on the cake for me, after the fact that I believe Krasner has a truly progressive agenda that Philadelphia is in desperate need of.

Coworking spaces are EXPLODING in this city. More and more all the time. I'm hopeful this means there will be more entrepreneurship in the coming years (motivated young people working in close proximity).

I don't hate him. I don't think he's qualified for the job. And I'm a liberal leaning to very liberal as in being a social democrat. I'm gay which usually means one is automatically progressive.

Stop trying to think you know me. You don't.

Agreed! Coworking companies have a good network to get that spaced filled.

More ships at the port.

Philly Shipyard to build up to four new container-cargo ships

Quote:
The former Aker Philadelphia Shipyard, renamed in December 2015, said the vessels will provide work for 1,200 employees at the South Philadelphia facility through 2021.

The shipyard has ordered parts to begin construction and “is actively promoting the formation” of a new freight carrier to compete across the Pacific between Hawaii and the U.S. mainland.

Generally still true but no longer a safe assumption.
