Considering the main line communities or Villanova or Gladwyne with a commute to Trevose. Any suggestions for routes and times? Also thinking about Bala Cynwyd or Wynnewood with a commute up 95 instead. Would appreciate any suggestions.

If you are looking for a really fancy, upscale neighborhood to call home, you may want to check out the Rydal/Meadowbrook/Huntington Valley neighborhoods in Abington. That area has the same kind of vibe as the main line and is less than half the distance to Trevose. zip 19046.

Villanova or Gladwyne to Trevose will be a long and frustrating commute. The only good thing about this is the heavier commute-time traffic will be going opposite of your direction on I-476 and the turnpike East, both morning and evening.

A commute on I-95 would be orders of magnitude worse than I-476 and the Turnpike.

The suggestion about Abington is a good one, I'd add Ft. Washington/Ambler to that list, and lesser so Yardley, they all have a similar vibe, too.

I agree. Rydal is an excellent area.. it falls beneath the radar but you have to take a ride around there and see the mansions there.. Close to trevose too. Trevose to Villanova is at least an hour one way with traffic. maybe more.. Here, scroll down to see what for sale in Rydal..
