I'm 25 years old and I currently live in Center City. My roommate is moving to Europe and so we are going to be selling our apartment. A friend suggested I go on City Data to find a city suitable for me because that is how she found where the city that she currently lives in.
My apartment that I'm selling is in Rittenhouse Square and I love Center City and I'm going to miss it.
I want a city that is historical, has a lot of green space/parks, and upscale apartments and restaurants. I would like to live in a Downtown/City Center and one that is very similar to Center City. I'm half black so I would like to live in a city with a high black population (like Philadelphia) or a city that is all in all diverse.
Websites or databases would be really helpful and I will appreciate any suggestions.
Thank you!

If you like it there, why can't you stay in Center City? You could either rent or get a smaller place. It's hard to recommend a city without knowing work status.

Places to me that have similarities, obviously not exact would be:

NYC
Boston
Baltimore
DC
Chicago
SF
Seattle
Pittsburgh
Atlanta (if you like DT living in Rittenhouse Midtown is ok)

Kidphilly is some what on point; however, Atlanta is the city which has the most in common with Philadelphia. Atlanta is a large city predominantly Black in a famous state which is (Georgia), which is predominately white. Both have decent Universities, diverse communities, attractive center cities, and historical monument.

NYC is NYC there's no comparison
Boston is too white and snobbish compared to Philadelphia
Baltimore is too small

The others have some things in common with Philly.

Seriously? More snobbish than, say, Rittenhouse Square, which is where the OP lives? You've got to be kidding.

Boston is not very racially diverse as a whole, but if you're looking for "historical, has a lot of green space/parks, and upscale apartments and restaurants" then Boston certainly hits the mark.
