What is Hatfield, PA like? Do any Asians live there? I was wondering because I know four asians that live there and I was wondering what it is like. What are some diverse cities in DelCo with large Asian populations. What places in Montgomery County have a lot of Asians/Minorities?

Lansdale in Montco has a fairly large Asian population, relatively speaking.

Per your other thread about your plans to study at Penn in a couple years, commuting from outside the city would generally be rather burdensome. It certainly could be challenging to bond with your fellow students.

Hatfield township is pretty far out from the city, but does have a significant asian population. The whole part of montgomery county from hatfield down through lansdale, north wales, ambler, and upper dublin has a relatively high asian population (approx 10%-15% asian). There is a large Korean supermarket just outside of Lansdale and a large Indian grocery store in Hatfield.

I'm not trying to move there. I am trying to visit other friends and I would bring my other friends who are Asian with me. I'm just seeing where the Asians live because I'm Asian.

I found lot of information simply using google. Here are a couple of quotes on DelCo (Western Delaware County population surging (with video) - delcotimes.com):
>"Millbourne is wedged between Upper Darby and Philadelphia and covers 0.1 square miles, making it roughly one-seventh the size of relatively uber-spacious Rose Valley. It is one of eight Delaware County towns with a nonwhite majority and stands alone as the only municipality with a majority Asian population."
>"More than 10 percent of Upper Darby’s nearly 83,000 residents identified themselves as Asian in the last census, a nearly tenfold increase since 2000."

Here is data indicating Hatfield is 19.2% Asian: //www.city-data.com/city/Hatfie...nsylvania.html

Honestly, it's pretty easy to find this stuff on the net - the non-forum pages of CD are very data-rich, for example. Also, in your opening post, you state you know four Asians who live in Hatfield and you wonder what it's like. Why not just ask them?

Best of luck in finding a community you can connect with.
