I know someone that lives in Levittown that is contantly bashing Bensalem. I personally prefer Bensalem over Levittown. I also think the shopping centers and strip malls are nicer and not as delapiated and run down as in Levittown.

I know the average income and the median home value is higher in Bensalem (that should tell ya something!?)

Which do you prefer and why?

Bensalem is a huge area with nice and not so nice neighborhoods.
Levittown is a huge area with nice and not so nice neighborhoods.
Levittown may have the edge for schools if you are in Middletown or falls townships. Middletown and Falls Levittown also has better shopping at Oxford Valley Mall and Rt 1 instead of Street Road and Franklin Mills.

yea i would say that both towns have some really trashy areas, but are easy enough to avoid as long as you live in them. bensalem as good access to philly via rt 1 and 95. also if you are a home owner in bensalem you get a good tax return because of the Parx Casino.

I didn't think of that. Does the casino really contribute that much to the local tax roll? Is it taxed by square footage and bricks and morter value or revenue and after everyone gets their cut is there much profit left on paper? How would it compare to an Oxford Valley Mall or all the car dealers in Middletown?
