I think few Phillies players do. Most other 'famous' people are out on the main line or in one of the 7 county burbs in pa and NJ

A few Phillies and Flyers players live in the city... not sure about any other famous people. Like Frank said most of them live on the main line.

I know out of the Phillies players-

Chase Utley lives in the Society Hill Towers (he's in Clearwater now of course)
Hunter Pence lives in the Murano
Cliff Lee and Jonathan Papelbon live in 1706 Rittenhouse
There are a few others in the city as well (I think Victorino still lives in the city)

The biggest one I can remember is David Lynch (Film Director) used to live in Callowhill and that is why the neighborhood is nicknamed "Eraserhood"

As a non-native Philadelphian who has been here for too long (over a decade) my creeping Philadelphia-ness says "who gives a ****?"

A lot of a pro athletes have condos in Center City.

A-list celebrities aren't going to live in Philly when all the national/global media is 90 miles away in NYC. Philly is about eds and meds and to a much lesser extent about communications (Comcast). Unless you're talking about Cornell West, Neil deGrasse Tyson or Dr. Oz there aren't a lot of celebrity docs or profs out there.

A few celebs maintain a residence in the area, usually the suburbs, but don't really live here. That is true even for all the athletes. Patti Labelle, Bill Cosby, M Knight Shyamalan, Joan Rivers, and David Morse come to mind.

Terrance Howard is another, but once again, he lives in the burbs (Lafayette Hill).

Doesn't Richie Sambora have a place in Two Liberty Place?

Terrence Howard, The Roots, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Eve, Director Lee Daniels, Tina Fay (Has a CC apt when in town) Jill Scott, Kindred Family Soul, Musiq Soulchild, Pink (home in Delco..when in town) Bam Majera & a few of the Jackass Crew, Jamie Kennedy (home in Bucks when in town) Chubby Checker in Paoli, quite a few other "working" but lesser known musicians, actors, and directors, authors, playwrights, dancers, artist etc..

There's quite a bit of film & video work that comes through Philly though.
