Speaking of crime... How about that nutjob outside of City Hall yesterday? That incident must have ruined lots of peoples' vacations if they were staying in that hotel right there. (OP- this particular act was an extreme aberration, but still noteworthy).

Wasn't he ACTUALLY mentally insane? This can happen anywhere. I don't contribute this to city thugs.

No one was harmed thank god. Did he end up killing himself or what happened?

No, the police shot him. Apparently he was suicidal and had a history of mental health issues.

Absolutely ridiculous. How does someone with a history of mental health problems even get a hold of a gun. It's seriously time for Washington to step up and lay down some stricter gun laws in this country.

absolutely! Just be careful no matter what part of the city you are in.. Everyone packs heat (including me when I lived there) that I know when they travel the city.

My daughter lived in center city Philadelphia for 7 years and never "packed heat" and none of her friends had weapons. All my friends/acquaintances in Philadelphia have no guns... not "everybody".
