hi everyone -

I'm looking for help and advice on apartments within the Horsham/Hatboro area. After looking at roughly 12 places within that area, we came to Blair Mill Village East being our top pick. I am skeptical since all reviews I am finding online are pretty poor. I was hoping someone could give me feed back on this place.

Any ideas, comments, etc from people who might have lived in these two areas as well are appreciated.

I have not lived in Blair Mill Village East, but I have considered it in the past and know some people who looked at the place. I believe it was around $900 to $1000 for a two bedroom. Driving by it seems like a decent complext, close to the turnpike which is good for commuting. The town of Hatboro is close and it's a cute stretch, but the town itself seems like it's struggling like many towns are these days. There's alot of stores, grocery stores, and restaurants in nearby Horsham, Warminster, Warrington, and Willow Grove. The area is relatively safe I think, but I've heard of isolated incidents of crime. There was a shooting or stabbing at the nearby 7-11 some years ago, and a string of robberies in Hatboro several years ago, but I guess that would happen anywhere. Commuting traffic on 611 can be bad- there are alot of lights so I would go on 263 if you can. From what I gather Blair Mill Village East is middle of the road in terms of quality. There are nicer places, but they are going to be more pricey. Good luck with your search!

I lived there until 2005...i'll just say I'm sure things have improved since then. There was nowhere to go but up. The actual property wasok....the management? that's another story. LOL

I had coworkers live in the North Crossing apartments...try them

The amount of drugs that are sold in those buildings, the random people that hang in the parking lots at night and the way the apartments and grounds are cared for are NOT worth almost $1200.00 a month. My daughter was even afraid to be down in the dark, dingy laundry room that has no windows. Not so safe for a young girl.
Every time I have called the office, the women are rude and very abrupt. Not very good customer service practices...

When I lived there, I worked night shift at the nearby nursing home across from the best buy. it seemed safe at the time...never noticed individuals out that late

I never noticed any drug dealing or unsavory people. In fact, the neighbors are probably the only positive I can offer about Blair Mill Village East.

If you value personal safety, however, in terms of working lighting in the parking lot, sidewalks cleared of ice and snow, gas leaks for the hot water heaters not being fixed, drainage issues, clogged drains, open drains in the laundry rooms, and many other safety violations that are never addressed no matter how many times you request service, you will love this place.

I have never been treated with such disrespect and lack of care in an apartment anywhere, ever. Most of the ladies in the office are nice but their hands are tied to get anything done. And maintenance will respond quickly to small problems or emergencies in the apartment. But for the big things, like clearing ice and snow from the walks, fixing ongoing severe drainage issues, fixing parking lot lights, fixing gas leaks, keeping the laundry rooms clean and safe, the maintenance just isn't there and apparently never will be.

Everything in the apartment is as cheap as can be. The carpets are far worse than the sample unit. Everything is cheap, cheap, cheap, and not updated.

It's a shame. This complex is among the nicest in terms of settings. The grounds are spacious and attractive. It has all the makings of a great place for kids, working adults, and seniors, but the problems by far are too numerous and severe to overcome. There are other places to choose from.
