Philly don't clean the snow too well either. Our old street never ever saw one plow in the 23 years we lived there. I had to bring a low truck home from work and do it every winter myself.
Its going to be pretty hard to live here raising a kid on those type wages. And the public schools are rock bottom in Philly. I would not recommend it. Down South is way more cheaper to live.

I can't find the video, but for some reason this reminded me of the news reporter during the Blizzard of 96 begging watchers to clear their entire windshield, as a car drives by with just the drivers side cleaned, as the car rounds the corner near the reporter, it says "Philadelphia Police" down the side.

I doubt it, and I think she'll struggle to survive in Philly. There are alot of crimes and homicide in this city. The job opportunities are few and pays low wages. She'd be sitting on the stairs of the cheap row house/one room rental in West or S. Philly, looking discouraged.
