This is the one across from Hallmark, right?
I feel like I have not seen any developments there.
Yes and right before Jeffersons campus.

Its come a long way as of what I saw last week. Steel up to the 2nd floor for about half the site.

- Kit & Ace (a Canadian-based luxury Cashmere company--with limited outlets in the US and Canada) opening in Fishtown: A Luxury Cashmere Shop Is Opening in Fishtown - Shoppist

I know that the focus on this thread has been on attracting uber-luxury national brands and major department stores, but the types of store openings noted above --particularly in "off-the-beaten-retail-path" areas of the city--are crucial for Philly to obtain a more sophisticated and larger-scale retail environment. This is positive sign that there is significant investment and continuing momentum going on in revitalizing neighborhoods.
Lapstone looks great! The only bummer is that I learned from that article that Armands has closed
It would have been a secondary destination in and of itself for a lot of sneaker heads.

Then I must be blind because I was there 4 days ago (TACO BELL crave) and it was still flat?
I think I might have been drinking again. LOL

EDIT:
I just passed by and took an effort to check the development. Yes, the steel frame is up.
So apparently I have been drinking again.

On another (slow day) news:
Cheesecake bldg had put huge "EMPLOYMENT OPPPORTUNITY" sign in front of the bldg. Not to be outbit, the PREIT bldg across the street also put a huge banner with "Exciting change coming this way!" theme on it.

Also huge Au Bon Pain on the first floor of LIberty Place is coming.

I asked a couple of painters working in the Cheesecake Factory Bldg about their progress. They didn't want to commit to any date of completion probably because they can't or don't know when it will be.

Good sleuthing, kby01.
Well from what I see, the exterior is technically 90% done.
But again who knew what happened inside; plumbing , electricity, etc.
Although comparing this project with some other projects in the area, I would say they erect the building pretty quickly.

I don't know about the building either, but the Inquirer's Michael Klein has one for the restaurant:

Can any of the blasted reviewers write articles without snark? Why would it be surprising to see something beautifully designed here? It's the Saffron "effect".

Inga can be harsh/dramatic, but she usually makes a lot of valid points. Frankly, there are a lot of horrible buildings being constructed these days in Philly, much more here than our neighbor to the north, and even though this isn't a 1000ft tall skyscraper, it is a more refreshing and attractive addition than some of the other s*** that is being proposed/built for our city.

La Colombe @ Independence Mall is getting closer. I see that the are working inside the building to build up the coffee shop.
