I am sure Hugo Boss has more money, but they are not willing to spend it in CC yet; just like AT&T.
That's why alot of us are pissed. The fact that CC is undervalued by this retailers.
Exactly. Hence why CC is skipped for KoP and NYC. It will be a slow change, but its happening.

I love NYC, but I usually plan special shopping trips, usually fall and spring for new collections, then hit up the bars.
I understand that but I loathe malls with every fiber of my being. I could compromise wrt KoP in the past. I'm not going to now. It's a personal choice.

My regional $$ go to other local things like restaurants that aren't chains.

Yeah, in all my years of living in Philly I think I went to KOP maybe twice on purpose. And there's even less "need" to do so now with the maturation of the internet.

Not really. Phone shops notoriously pay high rents similar to mattress and furniture stores because it's the only way to get good real estate for them. Sort of a "too hard to turn down offer".

But high end designer stores are wiling to pay top dollar when they know the investment is right. There simply is not enough demand (in the eyes of certain designers) to start a bidding war on a prime Philly retail corners. Which is why Verizon ATT and Santander scooped up top spots.

Was doing some reading tonight, and frankly I am surprised and upset that neither Tori Burch or Lilly Pulitzer have yet to enter Center City.

Tori Burch is from Valley Forge and Lilly Pulitzer was founded and still remains headquartered in KoP. Both have locations in KoP and Lilly also in Suburban Square. This corner spot would have been a perfect location for a shiny new store front from companies with local roots. :/

Both companies were quoted saying they admire expansion in developed retail scenes. If CC can successfully win over Stuart Weitzman, Madewell and Calypso St Barth it confuses me why it can't win over other higher end (and local) retailers.
Maybe Tori and Lilly talked with Nicole Miller, who used to have a boutique in the Shops at the Bellevue?
