I still want some non-food retails on East Market.
Not everybody's foodie! Although I have to admit that Iron Hill's french onion soup is to die for. The cheese on top is so thick. Mmm...

Anyway, please no more effing bank. Or another phone store.
I feel that a huge American Girl store will be appropriate. Or Lego Store.

My hope would be for a Limerick Outlets type setup: J crew Factory, Brooks Factory, Calvin Klein etc.

I've already put down my marker in favor of a Brooks Brothers outlet store I don't have to spend an hour behind the wheel to reach.

For that, and all those others, though, I suspect we will have to wait for the completion of the Fashion Outlets of Philadelphia conversion.

So far, nothing from the partnership in charge of the conversion about what retailers we might see in the new complex. Burlington Coat Factory will remain in some form, it appears, but that's about it.

That area of Market East is heating up!

Across the street from East Market on 11th, the building had been renovated. I am not sure the name of the building. They have large window displays now. And.... Honey Grows is coming there! So it will be across the street from soon-to-be MOM's Market.

Brickstone Realty's doing that one. The same people behind the Collins in the 1100 block of Chestnut.

Name escapes me now. A co-working facility, The Yard, will occupy most of its upper floors.

Nice!
It came as a surprise. But again I never really passed that part of the street.
As I mentioned in another forum, I expect that Market East soon will be liven up as Honey Grows in the two locations I know (Chestnut-ish and UPenn) opens till 10 PM.

You guys probably should head to Philadelphia Development Thread. It is an addicting site with pictures of all buildings in Philly currently in progress.
It is so addicting.

Anywho, somebody who is in the close loop with the FOP development just gives hints as what stores will come.
Primark flagship is coming for sure. So that is as confirmed from my source as well.
But there are two other stores that did not exist in Philly before. ONe will be a two-level store. I suspect this will be TopShop/TopMan. Since I heard unconfirmed rumors from salespersons in TopShop in SoHo.
Another one will probably be Desigual or one of Inditex's chain. Maybe Pull&Bear or Bershka. Because the two are in line with TopShop/TopMan and Primark price wise. If it is Massimo Dutti, it will be awesome.
There will be a kid oriented store. (FINALLY!). They need to have something like that especially with lots of conventioneers and hotel guests in the area. I hope it is American Girl or Lego Store.
And of course there will be a movie theater. But we know all that already.
And there will be a popular suburban chain eatery. I am hoping it is Zoe's Kitchen.
There are more info there. I just don't want to take his/her spotlight.

With this and Wawa, Iron Hill, MOM's and DWR across the street and also HoneyGrow.
Wow...I better calm myself down...
