Puma on Walnut closed - I wonder if Club Monaco will open their men's store since the women's store is adjacent. I heard they were looking for space on Walnut for a men's store.

Yes they have been closed for 2 weeks now. 80s retro is no longer en vogue unfortunately. We will see it coming back in 20 years.....
That's a good assessment that Club Monaco men can use the space!
I heard Scotch and Soda might snatch the spot.

Yes. Scotch and Soda is in talks for the spot now. The owner of the building decided not to continue Puma's lease because Scotch and Soda was willing to pay more

What is with the one block of Chestnut Street, 11th St maybe, the entire block(south) is vacant or boarded up. This is 2 blocks from the Convention Center Hotels. Outrageous looking.

It is definitely a hot spot. I can see why Scotch & Soda is willing to pay more.

Speaking of new retail; there is a new noodle / karaoke bar will be opening soon by the intersection of Race and (12 th?) in Chinatown. (Paging Cnote1 !)
This is across the street of Wawa. Garden Hilton is on the other side of the intersection.
Based on what I can see, the developer is willing to pay alot for the exterior renovation. It looked like OOKA exterior if I want to compare. It looks very modern and chic.

It used to be a salon. While it was good that the salon occupied the space back then, they left the building looked austere.

There's a pop up Indochino custom suit store in the old Circa/Sharper Image on Walnut across from Chipotle. I forgot how nice the interior of that building is. Curious why it has struggled to attract a long term tenant - it's been vacant for years now.

PREIT's Coradino: 'The Wind Is at Our Back' - Daily News Article - GlobeSt.com

Reference to PREIT's remake of the Gallery. They are dedicating a room to it at ICSC to market it to retailers - largest shopping mall convention of the year.
