The stores will be located in SoHo and the Flatiron District in New York City, on Newbury Street in Boston, in Brickell and South Beach in Miami, and near Rittenhouse Square in Philadelphia, Baxter told analysts on a call on Wednesday. "

It's nice that our shopping district is being included with these others.
Almost as interesting is that this marks a return to Center City for the company, which had operated an outlet of its men's sibling Structure (later Express Men, now folded into the parent brand) in Liberty Place when the retail shops there opened.

They also have a factory outlet in the Fashion District, though I'm not sure how long it's been there.

15 retailers recently opened or coming soon to Center City

https://www.bizjournals.com/philadel...-openings.html

"With the holiday season looming, Philadelphia shoppers flocking to Center City's retail corridors will see some new store fronts along them.

Walnut and Chestnut Streets continue to be a hotbed for new retail outposts, with a number of new fashion brands set to take space along the two streets. There's also a few spots that have opened in the past few weeks that are already generating buzz.

Here is a look at what we know, based off of data gathered by the Center City District and Philadelphia Business Journal:

Addiction Boutique - 1102 Pine St. - The luxury consignment shop is relocating about a block down Pine Street from its current location at 1024 Pine St.

Barnes & Noble - 1708 Chestnut St. - The bookstore chain is moving from its current Center City location at 1805 Walnut St. around the corner to 1708 Chestnut.

Citizens Bank - 726-28 Market St. - Citizens Bank will add another Philadelphia location to its over 40 existing branches.

Free People - 1632 Walnut St. - The women's clothing store owned by Philadelphia-based Urban Outfitters (NASDAQ: URBN) is moving into the space formerly occupied by Shakespeare & Co., a 2,800-square-foot bookstore and cafe.

1625 Chestnut St. - Two leases have been signed at the Shops at Liberty Place, but the businesses have not yet been disclosed, according to Center City District. Puttshack, an indoor miniature golf experiential retailer, has already leased 26,000 square feet at Liberty Place and is expected to open in 2023.

Joybird - 1507 Walnut St. - The furniture retailer with showrooms across the country is looking to open in Center City.

Kilwin's Chocolates - 145 S. 13th St. - The Michigan-based candy, ice cream and fudge shop is planning to open in Center City and already has locations in Ardmore and King of Prussia. It also plans to open an outpost in Upper Dublin in 2023.

Madewell - 1729 Walnut St. - The fashion brand will reopen at 1729 Walnut this fall, it says, an expanded space from its previous 1716 Walnut location. It will share a block with other popular fashion brands like Lululemon, Athleta and Steve Madden.

Outdoor Voices - 1723 Walnut St. - The outdoor apparel brand with locations spanning the nation plans to open on Walnut Street as well.

Rescue Spa - 1811 Walnut St. - The luxury day spa will be moving a few blocks from its location at 1611 Walnut to 1811 Walnut and aims to do so in December.

Time & Peace - 36th S. 7th St. - The retail space on Jeweler's Row will be occupied by a retailer called Time & Peace."

Some of these are obviously stores that are moving or reopening - just wanted to share this list! I think 8 of these are new, counting the unnamed stores in Liberty place.

I was perusing this real estate listing and see that a couple of notable places are opening soon: https://www.metrocommercial.com/wp-c...Street-NEW.pdf

1) Alo Yoga at 1608 Walnut - that's a brand that's typically located in very high-end markets so this is great news
2) Gorin Bros is reopening at 1616 Walnut (probably the tiny jewelry store space)
3) Mejuri at 1625 (this was supposed to be a Parachute Home store so not sure if that fell through)
4) Plump Cosmetics at 1703 Chestnut - hadn't heard of it but they look cool and are located in great markets

This is good stuff, thanks mdavis. So basically other than the abandoned lot, the 1600 and 1700 blocks of Walnut will be almost fully occupied, just two or three vacancies.

I haven’t heard any new announcements, it’s been sort of quiet the last month with retail announcements. Aritzia and Faherty aren’t open yet but Free People and Rescue Spa opened recently on Walnut.

Boba King just opened at the corner of 13th and Chestnut, across from the old Wawa where a little grocery store used to be. It actually looks like a pretty nice place and my girlfriend loves boba lol
