Good to see. Definitely looks like a retailer (based on other US locations in affluent areas) that would have otherwise chosen the KoP route, so a nice get for Center City.

Awesome. It says a lot that this space filled so quickly. BUT - that's so many stores of the same type in this area. Alo Yoga, Lulu, Athleta, Vuori, and probably more I'm not thinking of.

The unfortunate status quo of young people wearing athletic wear for everything.

(Just my own quibble, nothing to do with Philly or these brands.)

Ross is moving and replacing the Marshalls that closed on Market Street. So that’s not great news.

Also, Garage Bar is opening up another location at the old Fox and Hound at 15th and Spruce.

I'd rate that first announcement as neutral, since Ross is downsizing, then. Whether it's a plus or a minus depends on who the Lits Building owner finds to fill the space it vacated there.

I got to meet Jimmy at Phillymag's Penthouse Premiere at the Arthaus last summer — the penthouse referenced in that sentence is the one whose main living area he designed for that event. Of course, I did a story on it, whose lead is one of my favorites.

He seemed to me very approachable and down-to-earth. Streetwise, even.
