Until a year or so ago, nothing would be happening at the arena/stadium district that includes the Wells Fargo Center, likely site of the WWE card. Now, there is Xfinity Live.

You'll probably want to stay in Center City, the cultural and entertainment hub of the city with historical landmarks throughout. Start here: Philadelphia | Visit Philly - Official Visitor and Tourism Site for Philadelphia - visitphilly.com Depending on your interests, there will be enough to keep you busy in Center City's two square miles for a week or more, let alone a couple of days.

How old are you and what do you do when you are home? Philadelphia is very heavy in art and culture, museums, theater, fine dining and tons of historical stuff and shopping. It may be these things won't interest you. There is also a pretty wild nightlife scene if you are over 21. The Atlantic City casinos may be of interest, again if you are over 21. I know the WWE event will be a lot of fun.

If you were a diehard for the original ECW, you could drop by their old arena (now closed) for a photo opp.

Why would you wish you live somewhere else? You are within close proximity to two of the largest US cities (NYC and Philly), you have close proximity to miles of beaches and one of the best Casino resort cities in the world and close proximity to the mountains. There really aren't that many better locations, especially for a 19 year old.

If you want more excitement (I assume you drive), journey into the city more. If you live close to Philly, why not?

Are you going to college? Why not apply to Temple or Drexel?

Head into the city and check out all the historical sites. Go shopping on Walnut or South Street. Go to some restaurants and get something to eat in Center City or University City. Go to some of the museums in UCity or Center City... you have one of the greatest collections of art in the world along the Ben Franklin Parkway right near you. Go to Fairmount Park and walk around. Ride your bike around Fairmount Park and Wissahickon Park. Walk around the historical neighborhoods of Society Hill and Rittenhouse Square. Go to the Mutter Museum. See a play. Go iceskating. GO to a skatepark. Walk around Germantown Ave in Chestnut HIll, get something to eat. Go get something to eat on Main Street Manayunk.

Do you like cities? Are you into architecture? What are your interests?

Get outside of your suburban bubble and explore a little!

^^^^^^
Left click on his user name and see his other posts for a better idea of what he's thinking. I doubt if he'll make it to Philly.
