i never knew that i was pronouncing water wrong until high school!!!!! it was 9th grade in mr monillas' latin class... he said something along the lines of "why do you kids call it 'wooder' it's pronounced 'waahhhhhter'... it was hilarious how the entire class sat in shock... i still say wooder...
