Which area is known for higher crime?

Thanks
If by "near Northeast" you mean "Lower Northeast" than I would take Near Northeast over South Philly(from Front St to Broad St).

I think the houses right across from the sports complexes is the best neighborhood in this entire city. I always fantasized about living on that block. I know the crime rate on that block has to be very close to 0% since it's a very active and busy area that's close to the stadiums

Best neighborhood in the entire city? Far from it. Don't get me wrong.. it's a nice neighborhood but not best.

Yeah I really like the Packer Park area but its insanely expensive. You're basically getting the same house you would get in Mayfair for $150,000 more. Would still take the Northeast over South Philly unless I was retired and looking to downsize.

I say that because of how close it is to the stadiums along with the very low crime rate. When I start to discuss the best neighborhoods, i always factor in the areas I rarely hear about on the news or read about in the paper along with things to do in the area.

1. University City near 42nd and 40th from Chestnut to Spruce

2. Fairmount

3. Rittenhouse

4. South Philly Area next to the sports complexes

5. Manayunk

6. Chestnut Hill

BTW: I just moved from Rittenhouse and now live in University City near Rave. Before I move anywhere I do my research and based it on what I see and read in the news.

Well I think we both know why it's very expensive lol

Port Richmond, Bridesburg and Fishtown are the River Wards, not the Lower NE. The Lower NE starts @Wissinoming.
Unbelievable that nobody on this board of "Philaphiles" knew that.
