Junkies still need their 'medicine' and 'competition,' snitches and the unreliable still need to be gunned down.
Plus, the predators amongst us still want what they want. The hoodie up doesn't raise suspicion in the cold weather.

That only happens when it snows.

Question. What's the junkie situation like where you live? Just curious.

A cousin of mine works at Einstein so I have been around there somewhat lately.

We've always had our local junkies, but it's worse now.
Currently, we don't have any standing around begging, but there's a steady flow coming through day and night looking to steal for their habit. People are watching.
A couple of my neighbors caught one a few weeks back and he got the nickels and teeth beat out of him. Fortunately the one neighbor pulled the other off or there would have been a death ... That's at least one who won't be back.
For a few days last month there was a woman with a teenage boy sleeping on Richmond Street under the Betsy Ross Bridge.

Port Richmond is worse, being as it borders Kensington. Lots of begging on Aramingo Ave and people camping out.
The difference is noticeable since the Conrail tracks have been cleared.

Would any of you awesome Philadelphians let me know how safe this area is? I believe it's called Brewerytown, and I might move there (temporarily). Thanks in advance for any help!

In the pic it looks kinda pretty, but since I don't know anything about Philly, I'd love to know how safe getting from/to Center City (where my potential internship/job will be) would be if I lived in this area. Any areas to avoid when walking/using public transport from/to this area? Some of my internship tasks might require me to be out in the city until say, 8 pm. Would walking around Brewerytown when it's dark be relatively uneventful?
