I think it's a step up over Subway, but most local places in Philly are superior in terms of sandwiches (and that includes Wawa).

Wawa is better????????????? That's a real joke

Don't want to start a huge battle over this, but I simply disagree. Wawa tends to source from local vendors -- its sandwiches (including bread) are very fresh.

I just didn't get that from Jimmy John's when I tried it a couple of times.

The Italian Deli (I try to get my hoagie's and cold cuts at Italian Deli's) where I go uses Sarcone's bread... so good!

When my office has Jimmy John's cater our meetings - I brown bag it for the day. They are always skimpy on the meat and heavy on the sprouts.

9th and Fitzwater is very easily accessible if you're in the city. Take the el to 8th, walk down 7 blocks. Or if you're lazy, take the el to 8th and wait for the 47bus.

.

I agree. Jimmy Johns is on par with Subway and would much rather just get a sandwich from Wawa. In my humble opinion as far as cold sandwiches go, the best is from a small deli up in the Northeast called Marinnuci's located on St Vincent between Cottman and Tyson. Live in CC but often make the trip up there for a hoagie. Packed with so much meat can never eat entire sandwich in one sitting. They also have a place in Wildwood.
